Aimin Tang Successfully Defended His Ph.D Thesis, Congratulations!

The Ph.D final defense for Aimin Tang was hold at the multi-media classroom in JI on Dec. 15th, 2017. Congratulations to Aimin on passing the final defense.

Aimin has been working on research topics related to full duplex communications and coded caching. So far he has resolved several challenging issues in these areas. His research work plays an important role in key technologies of 5G networks.

Biography:

Mr. Aimin Tang received the B.S. degree in electronic engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China, in 2013. Since then he has been pursuing the Ph.D. degree with the Wireless and Networking Laboratory at University of Michigan–Shanghai Jiao Tong University (UM-SJTU) Joint Institute, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He was a visiting Ph.D. student from Jan. 2016 to Nov. 2016 at University of Washington, Seattle, United States. He will graduate in March 2018 and then join the UM-SJTU Joint Institute, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, as an assistant research professor. His current research interests include full-duplex communications, rateless coding, D2D communications, coded caching, and Internet of Things (IoT).
