The Ph.D final defense for Xiaochen Zhou was held at 403 in JI Building on Aug. 29th, 2023. Congratulations to Xiaochen on passing the final defense. Xiaochen has been working on research topics related to federated learning. So far he has resolved several challenging issues in this area.

Biography:

Mr. Xiaochen Zhou received the B.S. degree in telecommunication engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), Wuhan, China, in 2017. Since then he has been pursuing the Ph.D. degree with the Wireless Networking and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory at University of Michigan–Shanghai Jiao Tong University (UM-SJTU) Joint Institute, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He will graduate in September 2023 and then join Huawei as an engineer. His current research interests include federated learning and on-device machine learning.
